A recent survey showed that TWO out of every FIVE employees did not understand their company’s goals.  Clarity is crucial to helping your team win.  Imagine the productivity that could be gained in your team, department or organization just by getting everyone aligned and in tune with your goals.

In this week’s video, Mark gives two suggestions for clarifying your goals and getting your organization focused to make meaningful progress toward those goals:

  1. Get better at asking the right questions. For example, answer this question:  What is the one thing that if we improved, fixed or reduced it, would help us make significant progress towards our goal?
  1. Prioritize your time. What is required (things only you can do)?  What gives the greatest return (things that can allow you to make major progress towards your goal)?  What gives the greatest reward (what are you most passionate about)?  The intersection of these three questions will help identify where you can build the most momentum and have the greatest impact.

What can you do this week to narrow your focus and communicate your goals clearly to your team?  How can we help?  Leave a comment and let us know what’s working and where you’re struggling in your leadership journey.  We’d love to talk with you!
